The Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee (UMRCC), consisting of natural resource managers from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin, was created in 1943 to promote a continuing cooperation between conservation agencies on the Upper Mississippi River. History of UMRCC

UMRCC Objectives

Promote preservation and wise utilization of natural and recreational resources of the Upper Mississippi River

Formulate policies, plans, and programs for carrying on cooperative surveys and studies

Provide recommendations to governing State bodies in support of the objectives of the UMRCC

for Vegetation sampling (Pool 11 and 12) July 27-31.

Need a big commitment from IA DNR
Starting on pool 11 & need over 20 boats with a 3-person sampling crew in every boat.

Please e-mail Mike with your commitment for a boat and or personnel for this effort. In the past we were able to accomplish a pool a day with the sampling effort.
